Eversource Energy, a Fortune 500 company and New England's largest energy delivery system, is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join their technology team. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-scale systems serving 4.3 million customers across multiple states.

The role is designed for emerging software engineers with 0-3 years of experience who are ready to dive into full-stack development using modern technologies including TypeScript, Node.js, React, and .NET Core. You'll be working in a hybrid environment, with the first three months requiring full-time office presence, followed by a flexible work arrangement across multiple locations in MA, CT, and NH.

As an Associate Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for end-to-end software engineering tasks, from analysis and development to testing and debugging. The position offers hands-on experience with cloud technologies through Azure, and exposure to modern software practices including microservices architecture, REST APIs, and version control with Git.

The company offers a competitive salary range of $79,900-$88,780, along with comprehensive benefits and potential for annual incentives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in a stable, Fortune 500 environment while working with modern technologies and contributing to critical infrastructure that serves millions of customers.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, strong foundational knowledge of programming concepts, and familiarity with modern web technologies. You'll be working in an environment that values continuous learning, teamwork, and professional growth, with opportunities to expand your technical knowledge and capabilities.

What makes this role particularly attractive is the combination of working with cutting-edge technologies while contributing to essential energy infrastructure. The position offers clear career progression paths, exposure to enterprise-scale systems, and the stability of working for a major utility company. The hybrid work model provides flexibility while maintaining team collaboration and mentorship opportunities crucial for early-career development.
