Job Description
Evidently is a Clinical Data Intelligence platform automating low-level cognitive tasks involving clinical data and knowledge. They empower patient care, revenue cycle, clinical research, and population health to be more efficient. They are seeking a Senior Data/AI/ML Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience in AI/ML software engineering, specifically with data-intensive systems.
In this role, you'll build and improve clinical/health information extractors and summarizers, scrape and transform data, and develop secure code in compliance with HIPAA and SOC 2. The tech stack includes Python, SQL, Jupyter Notebooks, Streamlit, and more. You will have the opportunity to expand and refine their clinical knowledge graph, build supporting data/AI/ML systems, and participate in rotating on-call duties. This role offers a salary range of $150K - $300K, equity (0.1%-0.5%), and visa sponsorship. Evidently is a remote-first company with most team members in the Bay Area coming to the San Francisco office weekly.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve clinical/health information extractors and summarizers that directly power applications used by clinicians daily
- Scrape, collect, extract, transform, query, analyze, mine, and distill structured/unstructured data to evaluate system quality and performance, draw insights, and expand/refine our clinical knowledge graph
- Build and improve supporting data/AI/ML systems and automations
- Develop and deploy secure code, maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems and processes in compliance with HIPAA and SOC 2
- Participate in rotating on-call duties to ensure system uptime
Requirements
- 7+ years of full-time experience in AI/ML or full stack software engineering
- 7+ years of experience in AI/ML software engineering, specifically with data-intensive systems
- Comfortable designing, implementing, and improving core components of a clinical data intelligence platform
- Strong background in software engineering, AI/ML/NLP engineering, and data analytics/engineering
- Familiarity with healthcare and medical domains
