Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, a world-famous brand born in Southern California, is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, UI/UX to join their software team in Hamburg, Germany. This role involves working on a wide range of software solutions for music production across multiple platforms (Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android), integrating seamlessly with Fender's audio hardware product line.

The ideal candidate should be familiar with music technology hardware and software, enabling them to understand the technical requirements and challenges of Fender's products and solutions. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the UI/UX design team, communicating with QA, Product Owners, and Product Designers, and participating in the development of company-wide design systems and guidelines.

Qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, 3-5 years of experience in software design and development, object-oriented programming skills, and proficiency with various software development tools. The role requires fluency in both German and English, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities For Sr. Software Engineer, UI/UX

  • Work with UI/UX design team and development team to design and develop cross-platform application software
  • Regular communication with QA, Product Owners and Product Designers
  • Design, improve and implement application software with focus on front end development
  • Participate in development and implementation of company-wide design systems and guidelines
  • Communicate closely with development and QA groups, and product management
  • Collaborate with team members to refine requirements for software development

Requirements For Sr. Software Engineer, UI/UX

JavaScript
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar education
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in software design and development
  • Object-oriented programming skills
  • Familiarity with markup languages for UI implementation (HTML, CSS, or similar)
  • Proficiency with software development tools (Visual Studio Code, XCode, Git, Jira / Confluence)
  • Experience with Figma and/or Adobe XD
  • Fluent German and English language skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Excellent time, task and resource organization skills
