Fetch is looking for an iOS Mobile Engineer Apprentice to contribute immediately and work on real features that impact our customers and partners. This is a 3-month apprenticeship program where you will be given challenging and meaningful work, gaining incredible experience and growing as an engineer.
As an iOS Mobile Engineer Apprentice at Fetch, you will:
- Build highly performant mobile applications that integrate seamlessly with backend services
- Work on a small, multi-functional team that may include other engineers, designers, product managers, and data scientists
- Take on challenging problems and design & develop amazing solutions with light mentorship from experienced team members
- Contribute to real features that impact customers and partners
Requirements:
- Understanding of functional or object-oriented programming
- Ability to learn quickly
- Desire to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to translate technical issues to non-technical team members
- Self-driven and able to prioritize time effectively
- Experience with object-oriented or functional programming languages (Swift, Objective C)
- Experience with mobile development (iOS)
- Familiarity with modern app architecture (MVVM)
- Experience with version control systems (Git)

- iOS experience
- SwiftUI knowledge
- Experience implementing UI programmatically
- Personal app release
- Test writing and quality assurance skills
Apprenticeship Details:
- 3-month program
- $40 per hour
- 40 hours per week minimum
- No health benefits during the apprenticeship
- Free Mac laptop, monitors, and necessary equipment provided
- Work on the same projects as permanent employees
- Onboarding buddy provided on the first day
