Flank is revolutionizing the legal tech space as the leading Agentic AI platform for in-house legal teams. They're building autonomous AI colleagues capable of handling entire workflows, serving clients like TravelPerk, QA, and Mural. The platform automates contract negotiation, email triage, and security reviews, transforming hours of manual work into automated processes.
As an AI Engineer at Flank, you'll be at the forefront of applied AI initiatives, working directly with product, design, and commercial teams to implement production-ready AI solutions. The role involves building sophisticated systems like evals frameworks with legal experts and developing hypervisors for agentic systems. You'll be instrumental in creating the first alignment program for legal AI systems.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in ML/AI product development, strong programming skills particularly in Python, and deep expertise in LLMs, agentic frameworks, and modern AI tools. A Ph.D. or Master's in Computer Science or Machine Learning is preferred, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful AI initiatives.

Requirements For AI Engineer
- Strong programming skills in Python (TypeScript/Go a plus)
- Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face)
- Hands-on experience deploying ML/LLM models in production environments
- Solid understanding of data pipelines, APIs, and distributed systems
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and embeddings for LLMs
- Experience with cloud platforms and containerization
- Ph.D. or Master's in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field
- Proven ability to build strong partnerships across teams
