As a Software Engineer II in the Trade Services team, you'll focus on Customs Digitization and other products including Climate, Capital, and Duty Drawback. The role involves automating customs declarations using AI/LLMs to democratize access to sophisticated tooling previously only available to large companies. Working from Amsterdam, you'll collaborate with US stakeholders, writing clean code in a modern tech stack including React/TypeScript, Kotlin Microservices, and Kubernetes. Responsibilities For Software Engineer II, Trade and Financial Services
- Take point on complex product initiatives and run them to completion with minimal supervision
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards
- Safeguard code quality on your team, reviewing others' code
- Work closely with business partners to distill complex business problems into elegant technical solutions
- Be part of a close-knit engineering team that ships new code every day
Requirements For Software Engineer II, Trade and Financial Services
- >3 years experience writing software and a strong engineering background
- Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
- A love of simple, well-tested code that is easy to extend and hard to break
- Ability to convey technical ideas in common terms to stakeholders
- A self-starter attitude
- Strong knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java, Python or Kotlin
- Exposure to LLM-powered development tools
