Job Description

FLIR, a Teledyne company, is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to join their team in Victoria, BC. This role combines software engineering with project management, focusing on delivering integrated software solutions from design to system acceptance. Responsibilities For Project Engineer

  • System design and assistance with proposals
  • On-site system commissioning
  • Facilitate project communication and reporting
  • Design functional specifications and coordinate software release plans
  • Design training materials and provide training classes
  • Quality assurance related to project deliverables
  • Work closely with customers to manage post installation support
  • Support for industry trade shows and demos
  • Travel required up to once to twice per month

Requirements For Project Engineer

  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Excellent computer and networking skills, specifically with Microsoft products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be a team player
  • Software deployment and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Ability to travel within Canada, US, and globally
  • Work effectively in a dynamic environment
