Embedded Software Engineer - Linea Research

Focusrite Group, through its Linea Research division, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join their team in developing firmware for high-performance audio electronics. The role is based in Letchworth Garden City with a hybrid working arrangement, offering a salary range of £40,000 - £65,000 depending on experience.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with embedded systems, requiring expertise in C and C++ programming for firmware development. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in embedded systems development, including hardware initialization, driver development, and working with various serial interfaces (I2C, UART, SPI). Knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems, network stacks, and Flash filing systems is essential.

The role requires practical experience with embedded debugging tools, basic electronics test equipment, and the ability to read circuit diagrams. Additional valuable skills include familiarity with Python, C#.NET, SQL, Azure, Jenkins, Github, ARM processors, and Digital Signal Processing. An interest in audio equipment or the music industry would be advantageous.
