The Platform team's mission is to improve the software development lifecycle to be reliable, secure, fast & cost-effective. The role involves working with a modern tech stack including Docker, AWS EKS, Kafka, Elixir/Ruby, NextJS/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and more.
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
- Defining and developing infrastructure architecture for multi-region deployments
- Implementing automation to improve developer experience
- Leading projects autonomously
- Extending local development experience
- Creating documentation and knowledge sharing
- Enhancing monitoring & observability capabilities
- Collaborating with engineers to improve efficiency
The ideal candidate should have:
- Strong software development experience
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems at scale
- AWS expertise (EKS, RDS, S3, Cloudfront, MSK)
- Understanding of SLIs, SLOs & SLAs
- Knowledge of platform ops, networking, and Linux administration
- Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Grafana, ELK, Sentry, OpsGenie)

Responsibilities For Senior Platform Engineer (Infrastructure)
- Define and develop the infrastructure architecture to support multi-region deployments
- Seek out processes that can be improved with automation
- Effectively scope and lead projects autonomously
- Extend local development experience offerings for engineers
- Create Documentation, SOPs, Runbooks and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Extend Monitoring & Observability capabilities
- Collaborate and enable engineers to do their jobs more efficiently
- Develop tools to maximise engineering efficiency
Requirements For Senior Platform Engineer (Infrastructure)
- Experience in software development
- Experience working with microservices and distributed systems at scale
- Experience with working on cross-team projects
- AWS experience (EKS, RDS, S3, Cloudfront and MSK)
- Understanding of SLIs, SLOs & SLAs
- Knowledge of platform and ops concepts such as networking and Linux administration
- Experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Grafana, ELK, Sentry and OpsGenie)
