Staff Backend Engineer

Fresha, a leading marketplace platform for beauty & wellness, is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join their growing team in London. With over 120,000+ businesses and 450,000+ professionals worldwide using their platform, Fresha has processed over 1 billion appointments to date. The role reports directly to the Head of Engineering and involves significant technical leadership responsibilities.

As a Staff Backend Engineer, you'll be heavily involved in hands-on coding while leading cross-team technical initiatives and owning architecture for a tribe. The role requires someone who can create sweeping improvements in stability, performance, and scalability across business-critical systems.

Working from their dog-friendly London office (The Bower, Old St), you'll enjoy a hybrid work arrangement with four days in-office and one day remote. The role involves collaboration with diverse functions including Product, Design, Data, and QA teams. You'll be expected to act as a technical multiplier, building systems and tools that elevate the entire organization's productivity.
