FusionHit is seeking a Security Integration Developer to join their dynamic team, focusing on developing and maintaining data pipelines that integrate security applications with their threat detection engine. This role is crucial for their Managed Detection and Response (MDR) platform, involving the design of secure and efficient integrations via REST APIs and HTTPS endpoints. The position requires expertise in Python development, security practices, and API integration, with a focus on building scalable and secure data pipelines. This is a temporary remote position (2 months) available for candidates in Latin America, requiring significant overlap with Eastern Time (EST). The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills in Python, SQL, and security integration, along with excellent communication abilities. The role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge security operations and threat detection technology, contributing to automated security workflows and scalable data integration solutions.
Responsibilities For Security Integration Developer (Python)
- Develop and maintain integrations that retrieve data from various security application APIs
- Build and manage custom HTTPS endpoints for securely forwarding data
- Ensure compatibility of integrations with automation workflows
- Support self-service provisioning through web platform development
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to maintain secure and efficient deployment practices
- Write clean, secure, and well-documented code that adheres to coding best practices
- Monitor, debug, and enhance integration reliability and performance
Requirements For Security Integration Developer (Python)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in integration engineering, backend development, or similar roles
- Strong programming skills in Python 3 and SQL
- Proven experience integrating with RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with Python frameworks such as Quart + Fast, Django, or Flask
- Proficiency in JSON parsing and working with Redis for caching/batching
- Deep understanding of asynchronous vs synchronous programming and time complexity
- Hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and containerization technologies
- Strong grasp of secure coding practices, access controls, and authentication protocols
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor IDE
- Excellent communication skills in English (C1 preferred, strong B2 may be considered)
