2025 Data Engineer Intern - NYC

Galaxy is seeking a Data Engineer Intern for their 2025 Summer Internship Program in New York City. This 9-week program (June 9th – August 8th, 2025) offers hands-on experience working across Galaxy's diverse business lines, including Trading, Custody, Asset Management, and Mining. Interns will work to improve and consolidate the company's data backbone, handle production support issues, and be involved in CI/CD automation and DevOps improvements.

Ideal candidates should be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of technologies such as Java, Python, Go, Terraform, Kafka, AWS SQS, relational and non-relational databases, Spark, FastAPI, Spring Boot, Jenkins, and Docker is advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and expertise in cryptocurrency and blockchain are highly valued.

The internship offers opportunities to learn about the crypto industry, free daily snacks and weekly lunches, smart and entrepreneurial colleagues, and access to Employee Resource Groups. Interns will be paid at a rate of $55/hr and must be able to work on-site at the New York office for the entire 9-week duration.

Applicants must be undergraduate or master's students graduating between December 2025 and June 2026, with master's students having fewer than two years of relevant, full-time work experience. PhD, MBA, and JD students are not eligible to apply.
