Responsibilities For Sr Software Engineer
- Lead technical aspects for an agile team of 5-7 people
- Define, develop and upgrade software using latest technologies in a fast-paced agile environment
- Work with Product Line Leaders (PLL) to understand product requirements and vision
- Transform requirements/vision into prioritized user stories and deliver according to schedule and quality standards
- Collaborate with PLLs and architects to develop multi-generation software technology plans
- Drive cross-team efficiency improvements and eliminate duplicate work
- Support process improvement initiatives
- Coordinate activities and deliverables across business functions
- Drive world-class quality in product development and support services
- Ensure consistent messaging and clear understanding of business direction
- Write code that meets standards and provides required functionality
- Evaluate application performance and implement core data structures and algorithms
Requirements For Sr Software Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or STEM field
- Master's/PhD in Computer Science preferred
- Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux programming
- Experience with software projects in energy sector
- Certified Scrum Master and/or Product Owner certification preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective team building and problem-solving abilities
- Understanding of SDLC principles including Lean/Agile/XP, CI, software security, scalability
- Experience in leading and delivering medium to small tasks while mentoring team members
