Responsibilities For Software Engineer, Consumer Experience (Backend)
- Develop new products and product features on the Gemini platform
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers
- Author high quality code and review other engineers' code
- Improve performance, maintainability, and operations of the Gemini code base
Requirements For Software Engineer, Consumer Experience (Backend)
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience
- Experience building microservices in the cloud (AWS, Azure etc) and high-available services at scale
- Understanding and experience in at least one programming language like Java, Scala, or Kotlin
- Ability to work closely across teams and manage dependencies
- Customer and product-focused mindset
- Ability to adapt and handle multiple competing priorities
