Global Partners LP, a 90-year-old leader in energy delivery and retail experiences, is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their Central Data & Analytics Organization. This pivotal role involves building a next-generation AI/ML platform on AWS, serving as the inaugural MLE hire within their newly-formed Data Science/Machine Learning team. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement from their Waltham, MA headquarters, requiring in-office presence with 2 days remote flexibility.
The role sits at the intersection of machine learning engineering, data science workflows, and ML operations, focusing on transforming models from development to production. Key responsibilities include architecting scalable cloud infrastructure, automating ML workflows, and implementing data transformations for critical business functions like demand forecasting and pricing optimization.

Responsibilities For Senior Machine Learning Engineer
- Design, build, and maintain ML pipelines for training, evaluation, and inference using AWS SageMaker
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK or Terraform
- Collaborate with data scientists to productionize features
- Monitor deployed models for performance, drift, and data quality
- Ensure data integrity and system reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Contribute to architecture discussions and documentation
Requirements For Senior Machine Learning Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge (Master's Degree preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in MLOps, DevOps, Data Engineering, or Software Engineering
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Experience managing production systems with high reliability
- Knowledge of AWS SageMaker and related tools
