Job Description
Global Partners LP is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their Central Data & Analytics Organization in building a next-generation AI/ML platform on AWS. As the inaugural MLE hire, you'll be embedded in the newly-formed Data Science/Machine Learning team, working at the intersection of ML engineering, data science workflows, and ML operations. The role involves taking models from notebooks to production, building automated pipelines, and architecting scalable cloud infrastructure. You'll work on critical business functions like demand forecasting, pricing optimization, and personalized customer experiences. The position offers a hybrid work environment with 2 days remote work per week at their Waltham, MA headquarters. The company, with over 90 years of history, operates a vast network of energy terminals and retail locations, including Alltown Fresh. They're looking for candidates with 4+ years of experience in MLOps or related fields, strong communication skills, and expertise in AWS, Python, and ML infrastructure. Responsibilities For Senior Machine Learning Engineer
- Design, build, and maintain ML pipelines using AWS SageMaker
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK or Terraform
- Collaborate with data scientists to productionize features
- Monitor deployed models for performance, drift, and data quality
- Ensure data integrity and system reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Contribute to architecture discussions and documentation
Requirements For Senior Machine Learning Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge (Master's Degree preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in MLOps, DevOps, Data Engineering, or Software Engineering
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience managing production systems with high reliability
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
