Description For Customer and Partner Solutions Engineer, Privacy Web Ecosystem

Google is seeking a Customer and Partner Solutions Engineer for their Privacy Web Ecosystem team. This role is part of gTech Users and Products (gUP), whose mission is to advocate for Google's users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in client-side web technologies and JavaScript, with experience in technical troubleshooting and managing partnerships.

Key responsibilities include preparing the web and ad-tech ecosystems for major privacy changes in Chrome, driving adoption of Privacy Sandbox APIs, providing technical support to web partners, and acting as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders. The role requires a deep understanding of the ad-tech ecosystem and the ability to represent diverse partner interests.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $118,000-$174,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. The role can be based in Boulder, CO, New York, NY, or Sunnyvale, CA, with the possibility of hybrid work arrangements.

Knowledge of advertising solutions and the ad-tech ecosystem is preferred. Responsibilities For Customer and Partner Solutions Engineer, Privacy Web Ecosystem

  • Prepare the web and ad-tech ecosystems for major changes Chrome will be making to improve privacy on the web, including the planned third-party cookie depreciation
  • Drive early testing and adoption of Privacy Sandbox APIs while collecting, synthesizing and sharing early partner feedback with Chrome product and engineering teams
  • Provide technical and consultative support to web partners to help them prepare, implement, test and migrate to new Privacy Sandbox APIs, while satisfying business needs
  • Understand and represent the various interests and needs of a diverse set of partner, platform and ad-tech verticals (e.g. News, Commerce, CMS, CDNs)
  • Work on integration solutions across multiple products and teams. Act as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders

Requirements For Customer and Partner Solutions Engineer, Privacy Web Ecosystem

JavaScript
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP)
  • 3 years of experience coding with JavaScript
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers
