Job Description

Google is seeking a Customer Engineer III to join their Public Sector team, focusing on AI Infrastructure. Key responsibilities include building trusted relationships with customer architects and engineering leaders, providing domain expertise in hardware accelerators (GPU/TPU), and making strategic recommendations on infrastructure and framework selection. The position requires an active TS Clearance with Polygraph and US citizenship due to potential access to classified information.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $147,000 to $218,000 base salary, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI technologies while having a significant impact on public sector digital transformation.

Responsibilities For Customer Engineer III, AI Infrastructure, Public Sector

  • Accelerate customer time-to-value on the largest AI Infrastructure and HPC workloads in Google Public Sector
  • Build a trusted advisory relationship with customer architects, engineering leadership, and research teams
  • Provide domain expertise around hardware accelerators (GPU/TPU), prevailing ML Frameworks
  • Make recommendations on GPU/TPU hardware, framework selection, benchmarks, and model building
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required

Requirements For Customer Engineer III, AI Infrastructure, Public Sector

Python
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role
  • Experience with frameworks for deep learning (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow, Jax, Ray, etc.)
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time as required
  • Active TS Clearance with Polygraph
  • Must be a US Citizen
