Job Description

In gTech Users and Products (gUP), our mission is to advocate for Google's users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. Additionally we provide a range of product services that ensure our products are optimized for every user, no matter where they are in the world (e.g., localization, digitization, partner integration, and more).

As a Data Engineer in gTech Users and Products, you will:

  • Design, develop and support data pipelines, warehouses and reporting systems to solve problems for business operations, users and products.
  • Create extract, transform, and load (ETL) and reporting systems for new data using a variety of traditional as well as large-scale distributed data systems.
  • Collaborate and influence users and products stakeholders and support engineers to ensure our data infrastructure meets constantly evolving requirements.
  • Work closely with data scientists to productionize various statistical and machine learning models using data processing pipelines.
  • Write and review technical documents, including design, development, and revision documents.

Responsibilities For Data Engineer, gTech Users and Products

  • Design, develop and support data pipelines, warehouses and reporting systems to solve problems for business operations, users and products

Requirements For Data Engineer, gTech Users and Products

Python
Java
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1 year of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C/C++)
  • 1 year of experience designing data pipelines (ETL) and model data for synch and asynch system integration and implementation
  • 1 year of experience analyzing data, database querying (e.g., SQL), and creating dashboards/reports
