Google's gTech Ads team is seeking a Data Scientist to join their EMEA division, focusing on measuring and optimizing marketing ROI for Google's clients. This role sits within the gTech Ads Marketing Data Science team, which is crucial in building models that address clients' key business challenges. The position requires a blend of technical expertise in data science, machine learning, and marketing analytics, along with strong collaborative skills to work with clients and internal teams.

The role involves leading data science initiatives in marketing portfolio management, developing sophisticated modeling frameworks, and translating complex data insights into actionable business strategies. Responsibilities For Data Scientist, gTech Ads EMEA

  • Lead data science aspects of client engagements in the area of marketing portfolio management
  • Collaborate with customers to unpack their problems and identify the best statistical techniques that can solve the problem, and own the development of modeling framework
  • Engage important stakeholders to assess data and model readiness and be able to scale a proof-of-concept to a solution
  • Work with customer and internal teams to translate data and model results into tactical and strategic insights for decision-making
  • Collaborate with Product/Engineering teams to increase and optimize capabilities of the Applied DS team

Requirements For Data Scientist, gTech Ads EMEA

Python
  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Engineering, Sciences, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or a PhD degree
  • 2 years of experience using or deploying digital analytics and measurement solutions (preferred)
  • 2 years of experience delivering insights from ML to customers (preferred)
  • Experience in Computer Vision and NLP in the context of marketing analytics
  • Knowledge of the statistical algorithms used in Marketing Analytics
