Demo Platform Engineer, Google Cloud

Google Cloud is seeking a Demo Platform Engineer to join their Cloud Demo Platform (CDP) team within the Engineering Excellence group. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining systems that enable technical sellers to demonstrate Google Cloud's value to customers. The position offers a competitive base salary range of $123,000-$176,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

The CDP team is responsible for several internally developed systems including go/argolis, go/demos, enterprise trials, and a hosted version of Gitlab. The role involves building applications that help technical sellers interface with customers through cloud environment provisioning and content organization. The team utilizes Critical User Journeys (CUJs) and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to prioritize work effectively.

As a Demo Platform Engineer, you'll need a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 3 years of experience in either front-end or back-end development. Strong expertise in technologies like Angular, TypeScript, Go, and database systems like PostgreSQL is required. Experience with Google Cloud Platform features, especially in security and application development, is essential.

The role offers an opportunity to shape the tools that help Cloud technical sellers demonstrate Google Cloud's value. You'll work in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with Product Management, UX, and Engineering roles to design and develop applications.
