Job Description

Google is seeking a Developer Advocate for their Platform AI team to bridge the gap between developers and Google's cutting-edge AI technologies. This role combines technical expertise with community engagement, focusing on products like Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Run, Gemma open models, and the Gemini API. The position requires a unique blend of technical knowledge and communication skills, as you'll be responsible for creating developer resources, delivering technical presentations, and fostering community growth.

As a Developer Advocate, you'll play a crucial role in both external developer relations and internal product development. You'll attend conferences, create technical content, and serve as a voice for the developer community within Google. The role offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art AI technologies while helping shape their development through developer feedback.

Responsibilities For Developer Advocate, Platform AI

  • Attend or facilitate conferences and events to gain and share insights on user experience and technologies
  • Identify and engage with key influencers, thought leaders, and activists within the developer and data science communities to advocate for Google's platforms
  • Create and manage developer programs, events, workshops, hackathons, and other initiatives to foster community growth and engagement
  • Provide technical support and guidance to developers, addressing their questions, issues, and feedback
  • Act as an advocate and promoter for generative AI technologies within the developer and data science communities

Requirements For Developer Advocate, Platform AI

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of work experience in a technical role (e.g., Software Developing, Solutions Consultant, etc.) or equivalent technical experience
  • Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions
