Responsibilities For Director, Customer Engineering SLED, Google Public Sector

  • Lead and manage a team of Customer Engineers and Customer Engineering Managers with pre-sales responsibilities over all State and Local business
  • Develop and execute customer engineering strategy specifically for State and Local markets
  • Lead the State and Local Sales team in meeting/exceeding quarterly and annual bookings goals
  • Maintain strong understanding of products and technologies, provide technical guidance/support to the team
  • Provide strong leadership for where State and Local cloud market is going and how Google Cloud supports both internal and State and Local customers

Requirements For Director, Customer Engineering SLED, Google Public Sector

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
  • 15 years of experience in a Technical Sales Engineering role in a cloud computing environment or equivalent experience in a customer facing technical/engineering role
  • 10 years of experience selling IT solutions to state and local agencies
  • 10 years of experience in go-to-market, and leading a team to meet business growth goals
  • Experience managing teams as a manager of managers
