Google is seeking a Partner Engineer to join their Device Platform Operations team, focusing on leading deployments, optimizing implementations, and handling integrations to build strong, successful, long-term device partnerships. This role combines technical expertise with partnership management, requiring the ability to lead technical engagements and drive innovative solutions.

The position involves close collaboration with Product, Engineering, Business Development, Operations, and Marketing teams. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving existing operations, defining and commercializing new solutions, bridging product gaps, automating partner operations, and managing initiatives from conception to deployment.

As a Partner Engineer, you'll be responsible for balancing business and partner needs with technical constraints, developing cutting-edge solutions, and acting as both partner and consultant. The role includes building tools, automating products, overseeing technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, and developing product strategy.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills in programming languages like Java, Python, or C++, combined with experience in client-side web technologies. Experience with embedded devices, Consumer Electronics manufacturers, and the TV/CE/embedded space is highly valued. The role requires both technical depth and the ability to manage relationships with partners and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities For Partner Engineer, Device Platform Operations and Partner Engineering

  • Lead implementation reviews, advocate new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical tests
  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering
  • Ensure the technical aspects of a partner's integration both new and ongoing by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance
  • Identify, drive, and optimize the business flow from existing and new business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies
  • Lead Bug Triage Operations for all device YouTube Living Room Partners

Requirements For Partner Engineer, Device Platform Operations and Partner Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP)

  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers
