Job Description

Google Public Sector is seeking a Partner Engineer to join their team, focusing on cloud solutions and technical leadership. This role combines deep technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, working specifically with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) in the public sector space.

The position requires a seasoned professional with 10 years of experience in cloud native architecture, who will serve as a technical advisor to customers and partners. You'll be responsible for demonstrating Google Cloud's capabilities, developing solutions for complex business challenges, and building strong relationships with customers.

As a Partner Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of technical implementation and business strategy. Your responsibilities will include qualifying business opportunities, resolving technical blockers, and supporting bid responses. You'll need to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to various stakeholders and demonstrate how Google Cloud solutions can meet their specific needs.

The role offers significant growth potential within Google's Public Sector division, which is focused on advancing digital transformation in government and education sectors. You'll be part of a team that's making a meaningful impact by bringing Google's innovative solutions to public sector institutions.

The position comes with a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $147,000-$218,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Google offers a hybrid workplace model, with multiple location options across the United States, including major tech hubs like Austin, Reston, and Cambridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines technical expertise with strong communication skills and has a passion for building new relationships. You'll be working with cutting-edge cloud technologies while helping public sector organizations modernize their infrastructure and applications.

The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud engineering, virtualization, and containerization platforms, along with a strong understanding of security concepts and public sector requirements. You'll need to be comfortable with prospecting and building customer relationships from scratch, as well as serving as a trusted advisor on technology and business decisions.
