Description For Portfolio Manager, Data Center

Google's Strategic Negotiation team is seeking a Portfolio Manager for their Data Center operations in Singapore. This role is crucial in securing and managing Google's infrastructure needs, from data center space to utility services. The position combines technical expertise with business acumen to drive location strategy, site selection, and portfolio management for both new and existing data center sites.

As a Portfolio Manager, you'll be responsible for leading site evaluations, managing acquisitions, and developing strategic agreements with various stakeholders. The role requires a strong background in real estate and infrastructure, with particular emphasis on the Asia Pacific region. You'll work closely with technical teams to ensure Google's data center needs are met while supporting the company's carbon neutrality goals.

The position sits within Google's Technical Infrastructure team, which is fundamental to keeping Google's vast product portfolio running smoothly. You'll be part of a team that takes pride in building and maintaining the architecture behind everything users see online.   • Work with internal and external technical teams to identify, define, and pursue site selection projects
  • Lead data center site evaluations and selection processes
  • Lead the acquisition of appropriate data centers and develop agreements with vendors, landowners, and suppliers
  • Manage the strategy for ongoing growth at existing sites

Requirements For Portfolio Manager, Data Center

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Public Policy, Finance, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience negotiating bilateral real estate and infrastructure agreements
  • Experience managing project delivery, including project scope, time, and budget
  • Experience in economic development policy, financial modeling, infrastructure development
  • Experience in power transmission and distribution, telecommunications infrastructure
  • Experience with real estate markets within Asia Pacific region
  • Ability to provide commercial and technical solutions
