Description For Program Manager, Construction Area Environmental Health and Safety

This role involves leading complex EHS programs across construction projects, working with various stakeholders including contractors, integrators, and internal teams. The position requires extensive experience in EHS management and program implementation, with a focus on construction safety and risk management.

The role holder will be responsible for developing and implementing EHS programs, ensuring contractor compliance with safety standards, and driving continuous improvement in safety practices. They will work directly with Google Data Center partners, managing cross-functional projects and maintaining safety standards across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities include leading EHS program development, monitoring contractor performance, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous learning. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in both program management and EHS field safety management, with preferred qualifications including relevant certifications and experience in managing multi-site projects.

The position offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $139,000-$207,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Responsibilities For Program Manager, Construction Area Environmental Health and Safety

  • Lead the development and ownership of the EHS program for area construction oversight and data collection
  • Ensure that contractors deliver on program safety performance expectations and agreement requirements, providing timely solutions to issues
  • Monitor, advise, and assist the construction project teams to protect people, environment, and ensure compliance
  • Drive a culture that embraces a continuous learning approach and aligns with organizational strategies including goals and objectives
  • Liaise with the wider Construction EHS team to ensure best practices are fully and completely implemented, progress reported, trends and data captured and analyzed, and risks mitigated

Requirements For Program Manager, Construction Area Environmental Health and Safety

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management
  • 5 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) on field safety management
  • Experience in implementing programs to manage EHS construction and operational risks
