Description For Program Manager III, Connectivity Planning, Google Enterprise Network

Google is seeking a Program Manager III for their Enterprise Network team to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects focused on connectivity planning. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining Google's technical infrastructure, specifically managing network strategies and relationships with telecommunications providers.

The position offers a competitive base salary range of $139,000-$207,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. As a Program Manager, you'll be responsible for creating multi-year metro or region level network strategies, evaluating alternatives, and developing estimates for project-specific feasibility studies. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with major telecommunications providers.

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in program management with cross-functional organizations, demonstrating strong capabilities in vendor management, people management, and financial analysis. Experience with telecommunications providers like Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile is highly valued, as is familiarity with hardware life cycles.

Responsibilities For Program Manager III, Connectivity Planning, Google Enterprise Network

  • Create multi-year metro or region level network strategies to provide flexible connectivity meeting technical, operational and business requirements while balancing performance and cost
  • Evaluate alternatives and develop estimates for project-specific feasibility studies
  • Prepare drawings, maps, scopes of work, and other materials as needed to describe projects to external vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Create and present cases for long-term business in network and infrastructure
  • Execute agreements for metro-ethernet, internet, dark fiber, and wavelength services under existing master agreements
  • Communicate and engage with internal teams, Deploy, Network Engineering, Service Delivery, Production, and Operations
