Google Quantum AI is seeking a Quantum Computing Research Scientist to join their team. The role involves performing research to invent new protocols or improve existing protocols for quantum computing and quantum error correction. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or a related field, with 6 years of experience in research agendas across multiple teams or projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Studying quantum error correction schemes using theory and simulation software

  • Studying phases of matter and their connection to quantum fault tolerance
