Security Engineer, National Security, Google Public Sector

Google Public Sector is seeking a Security Engineer to join their team in protecting critical assets and implementing advanced security strategies. This role combines hands-on security engineering with strategic oversight of security operations. The position requires active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and US citizenship due to the sensitive nature of the work.

The role involves developing and implementing security monitoring strategies, managing incident response, and delivering comprehensive security solutions. You'll work with cutting-edge security technologies including SIEM systems and IDS/IPS, while conducting security assessments and threat modeling. The position offers a competitive base salary range of $141,000-$202,000 plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.

As part of Google Public Sector, you'll be working to bring Google's innovative technology to government and education sectors, focusing specifically on United States public sector institutions. The role requires a blend of technical expertise in security engineering and understanding of compliance requirements for government systems.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in security engineering, with knowledge of computer and network security protocols. Additional preferred qualifications include security certifications (CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCIA, or OSCP) and experience in regulated industries.
