Job Description

Google is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer for their National Security Public Sector team. This role combines advanced machine learning expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, making it ideal for experienced ML practitioners who want to impact national security solutions. The position offers a competitive base salary range of $177,000-$263,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

The role involves guiding National Security customers in implementing AI/ML solutions using Google Cloud products. You'll be responsible for architecture guidance, best practices, data migration, and implementation of ML models. The position requires expertise in machine learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow, and experience with AI accelerators and model architectures.

As part of Google Public Sector, you'll help advance digital transformation in government and education sectors. The role requires an active Top Secret clearance and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time. You'll work closely with Product Management and Engineering teams to enhance Google Cloud products.

Key responsibilities include being a technical advisor, creating technical content, delivering solutions to production, and coaching customers on ML systems. The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of experience in ML model development and customer-facing roles, with expertise in Python and preferably C++.
