Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer, ChromeOS, Accessibility

  • Lead the technical design, implementation, and maintenance of core framework components and Android application package (APKs) for Android on tablets and devices
  • Drive the integration of accessibility as a primary pillar of the development process
  • Develop and improve APIs and features for assistive technologies
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers and Quality Engineers
  • Uphold software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and performance analysis
  • Mentor junior engineers on the team
  • Investigate and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks within the Android platform

Requirements For Senior Software Engineer, ChromeOS, Accessibility

Java
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java)
  • 3 years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products
  • 1 year of experience with software design and architecture
