Senior Software Engineer, Data Governance AI Agent

Google is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Dataplex team on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), focusing on comprehensive data governance integrated with BigQuery. This role is centered on the Data Lineage team, which develops APIs and UIs to visualize data transformations across GCP and other platforms. The position involves rebooting the definition and development of AI agents to revolutionize data governance experiences on GCP.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll take full ownership and technically lead the development of AI-powered data governance solutions. You'll work closely with product and UX teams to improve data discovery, quality management, incident handling, and impact assessment of data source changes. The role requires expertise in Large Language Models, AI agents, and system design, with a focus on metadata management and data lineage.

The ideal candidate should have strong software development experience, particularly with API development and data structures/algorithms.
