Senior Staff Software Engineer, AI Data Trust

Google is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join their AI Data Trust team, focusing on accelerating safe and responsible AI governance. This role is part of the ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization, which is responsible for the infrastructure powering Google's services and Cloud AI offerings.

The position requires a technical leader who will help shape the strategy and direction for a new team of ML Infrastructure engineers. You'll be designing and building infrastructure solutions that enable AI practitioners to meet data compliance and safety requirements while maintaining development velocity for AI models and products.

Working at the intersection of machine learning infrastructure and AI governance, you'll collaborate with teams across Google DeepMind, Core Privacy, Safety and Security, and Core Data. The role spans multiple technical layers, from high-level ML tooling and frameworks to common ML services and storage infrastructure.
