Senior Staff Software Engineer, General Purpose Compute

Google is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the Dynamic Resource Management technology roadmap for Google Compute Engine (GCE). This role focuses on delivering General Purpose Compute Virtual Machines and driving core technology investments. The position requires expertise in compute systems internals, virtualization, and Linux kernel internals. As part of the GCE Node Team, you'll be responsible for N-series and E-series Virtual Machines, working on Dynamic Resource Management technology that serves as a key differentiator for GCE's compute efficiency.

The role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring both deep technical expertise and the ability to guide teams and set technical direction. You'll work closely with Product Management to shape the roadmap and collaborate with Product Engineering teams to ensure successful implementation.
