Senior UX Engineer, Developer Transformation

Google is seeking a Senior UX Engineer to join their Developer Transformation team, focusing on making first-party product development fast and easy across Google through AI-enhanced development experiences and platforms. This role sits at the intersection of UX design and engineering, requiring expertise in front-end development, prototyping, and technical UX design.

The position involves working within Google's User Experience (UX) team, a multi-disciplinary group comprising UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers. The team is dedicated to creating industry-leading products that deliver value for users and Google's businesses, following their core premise of "Focus on the user and all else will follow."

As a Senior UX Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing responsive, adaptive, and performant websites and applications, building usable and innovative UIs, and delivering comprehensive prototypes. The role requires strong technical skills in front-end development, combined with an understanding of UX design principles and the ability to work with the latest methods, tools, and AI technologies.

The role offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $151,000-$222,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Successful candidates will have at least 6 years of experience in front-end development or technical UX design, with specific expertise in prototyping and developer tools. The position is available in either Seattle, WA or San Francisco, CA, offering the chance to work from major tech hubs while contributing to Google's mission of organizing the world's information and making it universally accessible and useful.
