Job Description

Google is seeking a Signal and Power Integrity Engineer to join their ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization. This role combines hardware engineering with machine learning expertise, focusing on developing custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products. The position involves leading chip and package design, ensuring optimal Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) performance from concept to production.

The role is based in Sunnyvale, CA, and offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary range of $132,000-$189,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. The successful candidate will work within a cross-functional team, collaborating with Chip Design, IP, System Design, Software, and Vendors to drive signal and power design implementations on chip and advanced packages.

Key responsibilities include performing SI/PI analysis and optimization for High-Performance Computing based on 2.5D/3D package technology, collaborating with various teams to drive chip package SI/PI design goals, and developing methodologies to enhance accuracy and productivity. The position requires expertise in Signal and Power Integrity fundamentals, microwave theory, and analog circuit design.

The MSCA organization at Google is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services and Google Cloud. This role offers the opportunity to impact billions of users worldwide while working on cutting-edge technology, including TPUs and hyperscale computing solutions.

The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, along with strong programming skills in Python, Matlab, and C++. Experience with SIPI or microwave modeling tools and AMS design is highly valued. This position offers an excellent opportunity to shape the future of Google's hardware experiences while working with state-of-the-art technology and talented teams.
