Google is seeking a Silicon Development Engineer to join their ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization. This role is specifically designed for PhD graduates completing their studies in 2025 or 2026. As a Silicon Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of Google's AI initiatives, working on custom silicon solutions that power their direct-to-consumer products.

The position involves working across various stages of the silicon lifecycle, from architecture and design to verification, validation, and deployment. You'll be investigating and implementing novel approaches to optimize performance, power, and area for critical silicon infrastructure like TPUs and ML accelerators. The role requires making significant, independent technical contributions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into impactful silicon solutions.

The MSCA organization is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services and Google Cloud. The position offers competitive compensation including a base salary range of $132,000-$189,000 plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Successful candidates will have a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, with experience in silicon engineering domains and programming languages.
