Description For Silicon Engineering Intern, BS/MS, Summer 2025

Google is seeking a Silicon Engineering Intern for Summer 2025 to join their Consumer Hardware Silicon division. This internship is designed for students in their penultimate academic year pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communication Engineering or related fields. As an intern, you'll be part of a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team working on designing, developing, and deploying consumer hardware.

The role involves working on various aspects of chip development optimized for Google-branded consumer devices, including imaging, machine learning, video, and security. You'll have the opportunity to explore solutions to engineering problems, participate in design and analysis of new concepts, and collaborate with vendors in a product-oriented environment.

Key responsibilities include performing performance validation and simulation using C/C++ and RTL-based models, conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis, creating tools and scripts for test automation, and participating in the evaluation of future ASIC designs and architecture.

  • Perform performance validation and simulation using C/C++ and RTL-based models, and performance correlation.
  • Perform analysis results in both qualitative and quantitative fashion.
  • Create tools/scripts to automate test suites and models to improve functionality of simulators.
  • Participate in evaluation of future ASIC designs and general architecture.
