Job Description

Google is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer III to join their Chrome team in Waterloo. This role is crucial for developing next-generation technologies that impact billions of users worldwide. As part of the Chrome team, you'll work on making a better browser across all major platforms including iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome OS.

The position requires expertise in both front-end and back-end development, with a focus on creating robust, scalable solutions. You'll be working with various technologies including Java, Python, Golang, JavaScript/TypeScript, and more. The role involves not just coding, but also participating in design reviews, code reviews, and contributing to documentation.

Chrome's mission is to build a better, more open web, with a focus on speed, simplicity, and security. As an open-source project, your work will benefit the entire web ecosystem. You'll have the opportunity to work on challenging problems across the full stack, from user interface design to backend systems.

Responsibilities For Software Developer III, Full Stack, Chrome

  • Write product or system development code
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues
