Job Description

Google's Core Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Trusted Partner Cloud (TPC) team is seeking a Software Engineer to join their mission-critical operations. This role focuses on delivering reliable core services for regulated Cloud environments, particularly in projects addressing strict sovereignty requirements in Europe and Asia-Pacific regions. The position involves building and maintaining local, isolated clouds operated by jurisdiction-specific partners.

The role combines traditional software engineering with systems operations, requiring expertise in large-scale distributed systems and a deep understanding of regulatory compliance in cloud environments. You'll work with the Core TPC team and Core TPC Central Engineering Team to ensure smooth operation of isolated clouds known as TPC and Government Trusted Cloud (GoTC).

Based in Sydney, Australia, you'll be part of a team responsible for control plane services within Regulated and Trusted Cloud, including Admin Access Control, Data Residency, Assured User Controls, and Access Transparency. The position offers unique challenges in maintaining global SRE functions while working within administrative access constraints imposed by Assured, Sovereign Cloud, and other regulated environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for engineers passionate about reliability, scalability, and security in cloud infrastructure. You'll contribute to critical systems that require innovative solutions to balance regulatory compliance with operational efficiency. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge cloud technologies while working with a global team at one of the world's leading technology companies.
