Job Description

Google's Core Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Trusted Partner Cloud (TPC) team is seeking a Software Engineer to join their mission-critical operations. This role focuses on projects addressing strict sovereignty requirements in Europe and Asia-Pacific, building local, isolated clouds operated by jurisdiction-specific partners. The position is based in Sydney, Australia, working alongside a global team with presence in Sunnyvale, CA.

The role combines traditional software engineering with operations, focusing on the reliability and scalability of Google's regulated cloud services. You'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of control plane services within Regulated and Trusted Cloud, including Admin Access Control, Data Residency, Assured User Controls, and Access Transparency.

As an SRE, you'll work on complex distributed systems, developing solutions that maintain high reliability while meeting strict regulatory requirements. This unique position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while addressing the challenges of sovereign cloud computing. The role requires a strong background in software development and systems engineering, with a focus on building and maintaining large-scale infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who want to make a significant impact on critical infrastructure while working with some of the most advanced cloud technologies in the industry. You'll be part of a team that values innovation, reliability, and technical excellence, while addressing the unique challenges of regulated cloud environments.
