Job Description

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their Chrome Tooling team, focusing on advancing Web development tooling. This role is crucial for enhancing developer productivity through improved debugging, testing, and optimization solutions. The position involves working across all layers of the Chromium codebase and integrating AI-powered functionality.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer III, Chrome Tooling

  • Write product or system development code
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues
