Job Description

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. This role is part of the ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google, which designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services and Google Cloud.

As a Software Engineer III on the Google Cloud Platforms team, you will be responsible for developing full-stack solutions across both backend services and frontend interfaces. The role requires expertise in languages like Java, Python, GO, or C++ for backend development, as well as JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS for frontend work.

The position offers opportunities to work on large-scale systems, performance optimization, data analysis, and visualization tools. You'll be involved in the complete software development lifecycle - from design and development to testing and maintenance. The role emphasizes security, efficiency, and reliability while working on cutting-edge technologies including Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform.

Key responsibilities include writing production code, participating in design reviews, conducting code reviews, contributing to documentation, and troubleshooting complex system issues. You'll work with teams across Google to build solutions that impact billions of users worldwide.

The role offers competitive compensation including base salary, bonus potential, equity grants, and comprehensive benefits. You'll have the opportunity to work from several major tech hubs including Seattle, San Francisco, Austin, Sunnyvale, or Kirkland, collaborating with some of the industry's top engineering talent while helping shape the future of cloud computing and AI infrastructure.
