Job Description

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their Infrastructure Core team, which builds the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products. This role involves developing large-scale infrastructure and distributed systems that power Google's essential services. As a Software Engineer III, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that handle information at massive scale. The role comes with competitive compensation including a base salary range of $141,000-$202,000 plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. You'll be working from either Sunnyvale, CA or New York, NY, collaborating with world-class engineers on challenging technical problems that require innovative solutions.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer III, Infrastructure, Core

  • Write product or system development code
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues

Requirements For Software Engineer III, Infrastructure, Core

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting
  • 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture
