Job Description

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) at Google Cloud combines software and systems engineering to build and maintain large-scale, distributed systems. As a Software Engineer III in the SRE team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and uptime of Google Cloud's critical services while managing complex challenges of scale.

The role focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure, and implementing automation to eliminate manual work. You'll apply your expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis, and large-scale system design to solve unique challenges specific to Google Cloud's infrastructure.

  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues

  • Ability to debug, optimize code, and to automate routine tasks
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective verbal and written communication skills
