Job Description

Google Cloud is seeking a Software Engineer to join their VirusTotal team within Google Threat Intelligence (GTI). This role combines software engineering expertise with cybersecurity and AI, focusing on making the internet safer through advanced threat detection and analysis. The position requires strong experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents, as you'll be developing cutting-edge solutions for security-related challenges.

As part of GTI, you'll work on a global platform for threat intelligence that helps security researchers, analysts, and organizations worldwide detect and analyze malware, phishing, and other cyber threats. The role involves pushing the boundaries of threat detection by leveraging advanced technologies including distributed computing, machine learning, and large-scale system design.

The ideal candidate will bring expertise in AI/ML, particularly with LLMs from various providers, and have experience in developing autonomous agents for security applications. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing AI-driven solutions for threat intelligence, automated malware analysis, and incident response support.
