Staff Software Engineer, Google Cloud Compute

Google Cloud is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Cloud Compute team, specifically working on Persistent Disk (PD), Google Cloud's block storage system. This role offers an opportunity to work on distributed system problems in one of Google's fastest-growing Cloud products.

The position requires a seasoned professional with 8 years of software development experience and strong expertise in infrastructure, distributed systems, and software architecture. You'll be working with a team of passionate and experienced engineers, developing solutions that impact millions of users, including AI/ML customers.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership, coach distributed teams, and manage complex projects. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions for Google Cloud's storage infrastructure. You'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of mission-critical storage solutions used by thousands of enterprises.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $197,000 to $291,000 base salary, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
