Responsibilities For Staff Software Engineer, Pixel Thermal

  • Design and implement the thermal management framework across the bootloader, Linux kernel, and Android HAL
  • Integrate and debug the thermal software during new device bring-up
  • Perform root cause analysis on thermal issues by analyzing test data and system logs
  • Develop key metrics (e.g., Time-to-Throttle, skin temperature compliance) to quantify and validate thermal performance
  • Drive future direction of Thermal feature development based on thermal metrics analysis

Requirements For Staff Software Engineer, Pixel Thermal

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in software development
  • 5 years of experience with Linux Kernel, operating systems, and embedded systems
  • 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems
