The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of relevant experience, strong knowledge of embedded systems, Linux kernel, and Android systems. Experience with mobile phone hardware subsystems and excellent leadership and communication skills are highly valued. Responsibilities For Staff Systems Power Engineer, Pixel

  • Work with cross-functional hardware and software teams to model power consumption
  • Analyze and improve the software running across the key components of the chipset SoC like CPU, GPU, Memory Subsystem and Connectivity
  • Debug and resolve battery drain issues
  • Collaborate with Android app teams across Google to help them improve power
  • Develop tools and tests for validating and monitoring power consumption

Requirements For Staff Systems Power Engineer, Pixel

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience in power management or power design/methodology
  • 6 years of experience in development, testing, and deployment for Android BSP
  • Experience in system modeling and performance optimization
  • Experience with Embedded Processors
